Codies Weekly Update 02-05-14
How is it Friday again? Why won’t the world slow down just a tiny bit… just for a few weeks, that’s not too much to ask is it?
This Week’s Big News
We’re starting up something called “The List” (took us ages to think up the name), in a nutshell it’s a list of people who like to create, write, or talk about our games: YouTube videos, Blog posts, podcasts – things like that.
We want to make it easier for you to get the info you need so if you sign up for The List, we’ll be sending regular emails direct to you with things like press releases, screenshots, trailers and other Codies news. On top of that, if you would like to be considered to come to one of our media events you can register your interest for those too.
We only announced it last week and already we have a stack of details and news on GRID Autosport out in the wild, here’s a quick recap of this week:
Do you go flat out downhill but risk landing your car awkward and potentially end up spinning out of control or do you take it sensible but running the risk of your brave opponent pulling it off? It’s choices like this that make San Francisco a great place to race around and we’re incredibly excited to see it return to the GRID series.
In contrast the fast sweeping sections flow really well together and allow players to build up a rhythm which, with good lines, will help players gain time around the track (for example turns 5 & 6 into the double apex of turn 7/8), however if you get the line wrong through here, your times will suffer and your opponents will catch up.
Oakley Motorsport has a presence in almost every tier of every style of racing in GRID Autosport. They have a minor presence in the lower tiers of most styles of racing, and are often prepared to give rookie racers their break in the hope of finding the next big racing talent.
Consider yourself an achievement or trophy hunter? If so then you’re in luck as below you’ll find the full list of achievements that feature GRID Autosport. So whether you’re An icon in the pit lane, The Journeyman or a Long Haul Legend, your challenge awaits.
It’s gone 6pm and the office is slowly winding down, the sound of the cleaners and their trusty Henry vacuums are resonating throughout the building and the motion sensor lights within the corridors rarely illuminate, blackness ensues.
Round one of the DiRT Rally Championship kicked off this week and the competitors are already putting down some pretty impressive times. If you signed up to take part you have until Tuesday next week to get your times in.
You’ll find all the details you need over on the DiRT Forums.
This week marked the 20th anniversary of Ayrton Senna’s fatal accident and over on Twitter you shared your memories of him with us.

@gridgame Touring! Nice estate with the dogs in the back, hit some apexes then go for a BBQ on the beach type thing.
