The Autosport International Show
On Friday last week myself and Luke had the opportunity to get out of the office and visit the Autosport International Show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. The show is basically everything that is great about cars and motorsport, inside the halls you’ll find everything from trade stands and manufacturers, to Go-Karts and F1 cars.
It’s pretty much the perfect show for a Codemasters fan and had something on display from our racing titles all under one roof. DiRT fans would find the Wales Rally GB stand featuring one of Colin McRae’s legendary Subarus. The M-Sport stand had the new Ford Fiesta R5 on show and there were plenty of Group B rally cars littered around to keep you interested.
Representing everything I like to think of as being GRID, the show housed a huge collection of cars from different disciplines with open wheelers like the BAC Mono and Ariel Atom, some pretty sweet looking drift cars and of course a huge British Touring car stand showing off some of the upcoming season’s new cars for the first time.
Then you have Formula 1 and with a car from each team on show it’s a very rare opportunity to get right up close and personal with the stars of last season’s grid, and that’s not to mention all of the classic F1 cars on display.
If you can get to the show next year we highly recommend it as a day out, but for now enjoy our photo gallery above.
