It’s been a few weeks since announcing our first Codies League Championship and we’ve seen a great number of high quality entries. Narrowing down the final participants was a tough job, we were very impressed with the dedication and passion all of you put into your F1 2013 leagues races, we really do have an incredible community of players. So before we announce the 7 leagues participating we want to give a big thank you to all those that applied and got in touch, we want to expand the championship throughout the year so we hope to hear from you again in the future.

The leagues that will be competing for the top position every Wednesday for the next five weeks are listed below, each with a quote from their admin/team leader. Every race will feature two members from each league battling it out on some of the most famous circuits in the world, and as you can tell from the quotes, it sounds like they are all committed in producing some incredible racing.

Fisi – AOR

“We are delighted at the opportunity of having our league and community represented in what looks to be a very exciting championship! With two of our finest drivers ready for the challenge, it’ll be interesting to see how we fare against the other great leagues out there. We’re expecting some very tough competition, but our aim is that after the first race – others will expect the same from us. So let’s get racing!”

Alex Bishop – UTR

“We are very proud to have been selected by Codemasters to race in their very first league championship and we can’t wait to represent the other drivers of Ultimate Throttle Racing Leagues to the rest of the world when we race around the streets of Melbourne.”

Gary Martin – TRL

“We’re delighted that our league has been chosen to compete, should be interesting to see who comes out on top. Expecting the racing to be clean and fast, we hope to be fighting at the front.”

Dan Fisk – XRL

“The Codies league championship is a great way to showcase not only the talent at XRL but the whole F1 2013 Xbox community as a whole. Expect some of the fastest drivers to be battling it out against one another and provide the pinnacle of online F1 racing. XRL can’t wait to muscle it out against the best.”

Matt Vortex – VRL

“We are absolutely delighted that Vortex Racing Leagues are going to take part in the first Codies League Championship on the F1 2013 game, and we hope the to do our best in the championship and put up a good fight for the other leagues. The championship should be great fun and we cannot wait for the first race to start in Australia!”

Peter Carr – IFR

“We’re very excited to be taking part in the first Codies League Championship. We’re not the biggest or most well-known F1 league out there but we have some fast racers who are keen to show they can compete with the top drivers from other leagues. It will be fascinating to see which league comes out on top. Australia is a great place to start the championship and we’ll be hoping to pick up a good haul of points.”

Baylor Toobs – Pinnacle

“I think this will be a great championship with a lot of fast drivers coming together and battling it out, I’m sure it’ll be a close championship!”

The first race will be held at 8:00pm GMT this Wednesday (19/03/14) and what better place to start than Melbourne. We’ll have a full race round-up on the blog shortly after so don’t forget to check back and see which leagues are looking strongest!
