Hello everyone and welcome back to the DiRT Roadbook!

It’s been an eventful week once again in the land of rally cars so let’s catch up and see what went down.

Introducing The DiRT Roadbook Thread!

Before we get things underway let me bring to your attention the new DiRT Roadbook thread on the forums! Discuss the Roadbook with your fellow racers, keep updated on when new issues are released and look back through the archives, it’s all there. The DiRT Roadbook has years of history behind it and years more to come!

Latvia RX is here!

The first additional rallycross track has arrived in DiRT Rally 2.0 and it’s a gorgeous thrill-ride though the Latvian woodlands. With many interesting lines and a challenging Joker Lap transition it’s a place where epic moments are set to be staged. If you haven’t experienced it yet you’re missing out on a great experience.

As a reminder, Deluxe Content owners get access to Latvia RX and all Season 1 and 2 content for DiRT Rally 2.0. More cars are coming, and Wales Rally is up in July. I’ve been driving a bit of it here in the office and it’s a real treat, consuming my lunch breaks!

Latvia RX Access Issues

Much like your favourite rally Stage, the release of Latvia RX has unfortunately been a bumpy one, particularly for Xbox users.

You may have seen our updates on social channels yesterday but for those catching up, deluxe Content owners on Xbox couldn’t access Latvia RX, and were also losing access to other Deluxe Content. We were aware of these issues from the moment Latvia RX became available and since then have been in regular contact with all parties to resolve this. I’m pleased to say that things are looking up thanks to changes made earlier today, and players should shortly be able to access all of their content. If you’re playing DiRT Rally 2.0 on Xbox right now and don’t see your Deluxe Content, please exit the application and restart your game.

On a related note PlayStation users in American regions were having a similar issue, but again I’m happy to say that these should be resolved now. Finally, some Steam users were experiencing game crashes when accessing Latvia RX. The DiRT team were on it right away and solved that a few days ago, so you should be good to go.

It’s always sad to see technical issues get in the way of people having fun, and we’d like to apologise for the inconvenience caused.

FIA World Rallycross of Norway

Speaking of Rallycross, the FIA World Rallycross Championship took to hell last weekend! DiRT fans will recognise the track from our recent titles and it’s just as much a thrill to watch as it is to drive. Check out the Finals above for all the action (only viewable in certain regions) or the links below for news and results.

Community Screenshots

Our community screenshot thread is up and running, and I’m already seeing some great pics in there from you all. If you haven’t yet be sure to take a look. We’ll be sharing some of our favourites on the DiRT social channels in the future so start screenshotting those Replays!

Clubs Update

Clubs have been around for just over a week now and you guys have been busy! I’ve seen community leagues, team writeups and all sorts happening already, and more is to come! The Clubs feature is still in its development stage and will grow over time, but today I wanted to let you all know that Germany and Sweden should now be selectable for use. As always leave your feedback on the forums and the DiRT team will start tracking those bugs and feature requests. While you’re at it don’t forget to join the official Clubs! This week’s Events were set up by Jon Armstrong so expect a challenge!

The DiRTy Discord Rally Championship

While on the topic of Clubs, I wanted to share this excellent write-up by the DiRTy Discord crew, a group of forum regulars who have set up their own community. They’re using Clubs to run a full-on championship with teams and everything! have a read through and join in on the action by joining their community. I’ve been a regular visitor in there since before I joined Codemasters and I can say (in my stereotypical Irish accent) they’re a great bunch of lads.

DiRTy Feedback Threads

DiRT is nothing without its impassioned community of rally fans, and we greatly appreciate all of your comments on this great series. Through community feedback the DiRT team has added many features and resolved various bugs that have surfaced, and that’s set to continue with further updates. As a quick tease, there’s one car in particular that is expected to have updated audio in Version 1.6. We’ll talk about that more when the time comes but for now leave your general feedback on the game and any bugs in the threads below:

Jon Armstrong takes on the Nürburgring Nordschleife

Finally, let’s leave you with something a little different! The Nürburgring 24 Hours takes place this weekend, and as a sportscar fan I can say it’s one of the best races to watch all year (all free on YouTube too in English and German). Our resident rallyman Jon Armstrong recently took to the iconic circuit on a trackday, taking his years of simracing knowledge to the real world. Does learning the track online have an impact on his laptime? Find out below!

That’s it for now, see you all next week!
