Max Verstappen vs Pierre Gasly – Duel Mode in F1® Mobile Racing!

November 23, 2018

F1® Mobile Racing, Codemasters’ new free-to-play handheld game, has captured the imaginations of gamers across the globe. Topping the App Store Games chart in over 40 countries, and the Racing Games chart in over 140 countries, we’re seeing so many people Compete, Customise and Dominate – including some of the fastest drivers on the planet…

We recently had the chance to pay a visit to the Red Bull Racing HQ in Milton Keynes – specifically their brand new MK-7 facility: a stunning events area, filled with cars, parts, photos and memorabilia that charts Red Bull’s rapid rise to the top of F1.

After picking our jaws up off the floor from seeing all the F1 history on display, we met up with two of F1’s finest (and Red Bull’s driver line-up for next season), Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly. After giving them a quick tour of F1® Mobile Racing, they jumped straight in and competed in Duels against each other – Max in his RB14, and Pierre in his STR13, both of which can be purchased in-game via the Shop. We think it’s fair to say they enjoyed themselves…

“Honestly, really impressive,” said Gasly on F1® Mobile Racing, “especially with the graphics. It’s super easy to control, so you can really take your lines, brake late, be aggressive, without spinning everywhere. It’s a good game for everyone to play and enjoy.”

“The graphics, first of all for me: they are really cool,” said Verstappen, “and they look amazing for a game on the phone. What I also like is just how precise you can be while turning into corners. It just all works really well.”

Max and Pierre were trying out the Duel mode, which pits you against another driver in real-time, PvP, high-octane race scenarios. Win these events to increase your Cup Points total and reach new Leagues. Promotion to these Leagues unlocks more tracks, more R&D parts – more of what you need to dominate in F1® Mobile Racing. On top of this fast-paced, high-stakes action, there’s a single-player mode with multiple difficulties, race lengths and types, the deep R&D system and, of course, the chance to race and customise your very own F1 car.

Gasly and Verstappen aren’t the only ones having a blast with the game, either –  F1® Mobile Racing is available now on iOS and on selected Android devices. Make sure you’re following the game on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to grab all the breaking news as it drops!
