Version 1.10 Update Available Now – Version 1.10.1 Next Week

This week we updated DiRT Rally 2.0 to Version 1.10, featuring more tweaks to the game and a few additions.

Primarily this update is in preparation for the 3 Locations (1 Rally, 2 Rallycross) that are releasing over the next month but there are a few other handy things in there too, like new Achievements, further VR optimisations, car, location & audio updates and more. SkyRex has done the usual thing of compiling update highlights into a video which you can see above.

While we’re talking about updates here’s a quick heads-up: we’re releasing a minor hotfix next week. This focuses on Broadcast Mode but also addresses some stuttering that players were experiencing when using USB input devices. Patch Notes for both are below:

DiRT Rally 2.0 World Series – Round 2 Complete

Round 2’s Qualifiers of the DiRT Rally 2.0 World Series are in the books and the team’s currently checking the top times, verifying the runs and getting ready to contact qualified players.

Round 3’s not far away but while we take a break from the action let’s look at one of the rapid drivers from Round 2. The run was shared on Reddit a few days ago and is worthy of a watch.

Russell Brookes – 1945-2019

Earlier this week we received the sad news of Russell Brookes’ passing. A famous name of classic British rallying, he was known for his battles with Jimmy McRae (Colin’s father) back in the 1980s in the famed “Andrews Heat for Hire” Opel Manta 400. Above you’ll find a great video featuring him and the car in action

It has been an honour to have his livery appear in our games, and the DiRT team’s thoughts are with Russell’s family, friends and loved ones at this difficult time.

Thanks for reading, see you all next week.
