Announcing the DiRT World Championships!

The DiRT World Championships have arrived! We’re taking our search for the world’s fastest DiRT driver to global heights, with the official DiRT World Championships kicking off on 19th February. You can check out the website now for all of the details and information, but we’re here to give you an overview of how things are going to go.
First off, we start with the all-important Qualifiers. These events will take place across February and March, and will include a mix of Rally and Rallycross. The top two players on each platform in each of the six events will go through – although if we see the same names at the top of the leaderboards more than once, we’ll default to the next quickest player(s) to make sure we’ll have a full set of competitors.
After that, the quarter-finals take place on 8th April, which will include players competing remotely from home – and then the semi-finals, on 22nd April, will narrow this down to the top six players for the final! Both these events will be broadcast live with Gfinity and Motorsport Network, so the action will be available for everyone to tune into.
And as for the final? Well, it’s going to be a special one! The final will take place at nowhere other than Silverstone, as part of the inaugural Speedmachine festival on 26th May. We’ll provide more details about who, what, when are where closer to the time – but it’s going to be an absolutely incredible showdown with some of the world’s fastest off-road players.
The grand prize is certainly pretty special with our grand champion wining a test drive in an RX2 rallycross car at Silverstone as part of Speedmachine plus a host of gaming prizes.
