Waving The Chequered Flag On The Year

December 20, 2017

Wow, 2017 is nearly over. It’s been a great year, from our testing in February, to our helmet competition and the amazing designs that you sent us and we created in game. We showed off F1 2017 to the press at the Mercedes Benz Museum in Stuttgart, (virtually) raced on the start line of Circuit Zandvoort, won a TIGA Award and had a hugely successful first ever F1Esports Series. (Phew!)

We’re proud of F1 2017. We’re so proud of what we’ve created, and the team that created it. From the brand new R & D tree, to the roster of classic cars, the epic racing moments that have been created and the huge success that was the F1Esport Series. It’s been a great year, thank you for being with us on the wild ride of F1 2017!

We had the F1Esports Champion Brendon Leigh in to have his face scanned as part of his prize – he visited both Southam and Birmingham studios, and you can see some pictures from this here:

To all of those who’ve taken the time to send us their feedback, who’ve sent us videos, and detailed what they’re experiencing in immense detail – thank you. We really do appreciate all of it, and we’ve sat down and read and watched everything you sent us.

With the end of the year and the start of a new one comes new projects. Behind the scenes, we’ve already been hard at work with our next project and it won’t be long until we’re able to share the details of this with you.

Because it’s Christmas, we’ve also got some goodies to give away!

Photo Mode Competition

We have some incredible goodies to give away – a signed Daniel Ricciardo cap, Red Bull Racing lanyard, a signed Max Verstappen card, a F1 2017 notebook and pen as well as a F1 2017 game tshirt and Steelbook… oh, and a Red Bull Racing bag to carry all of this in ;)

Want to get your hands on this Christmas cache? Of course you do. All you need to do to win this considerable collection is to send us your best pictures of Red Bull Racing in F1 2017. You can use whatever track you’d like, or any Red Bull Racing car you’d like, whether this is Max or Daniel Ricciardo’s RB13, or the Red Bull Racing RB10. Tweet them to us using the hashtag #F12017, or email them to us at competitions@codemasters.com. You’ve got until midday GMT on the 3rd January to get your entry in to us, so you’ve got the whole of Christmas to get snapping on F1 2017!

Here’s some great entries from the photo mode competition we ran in October to give you some inspiration! Good luck!
